Welcome to Stephenville First Assembly! This experience may be different than what you are accustomed to, but I want you to feel at home. We are a family, a very diverse one I might add. SFA consists of poor people and wealthy people, but you don’t know who is who. We are a seeker church full of people of all ages. Everyone is seeking after God in their own way. There are all different levels of spirituality; some are atheists, new in their faith, or growing with hang ups in their life. No one carries themselves as if they have “arrived”. SFA is not a one man show with an opening concert of songs. You may receive from God or be used by God but come ready for either one to happen!
You have the freedom to express your love for God in whichever way you choose. If you want to stand, stand. If you want to sit, kneel, dance, or lift your hands during worship, feel free to do so.
We are always looking for ways to serve the city of Stephenville and Erath county. We are intentional about the things we offer children and men. Our church is unique in the percentage of men that serve this family. In many churches there is an absence of men. While our men are not perfect, they are engaged in the process of who God wants them to be.
We are connected to a fellowship of churches called the Assemblies of God. Though we are proud of that association, 85% of our people come from backgrounds other than that.
Come ready to hear what you need to hear. You can depend on hearing a word from God. The spirit of the Lord will speak to the point of your need. Can’t wait to meet you!
